The digital dark age?

Photoshop News features a link to a BBC story on the looming “digital dark age”. According to the story, thousands of digital files are lost each year because newer computers can’t open them. While paper can sit on a shelf for years without losing information, files stored on floppy discs or other media are lost because the computers that made them are obsolete. The cost to business is calculated to be in the billions.
